Start With Evaluating What You Need
Above Ground Safe Room
Our above ground safe rooms are constructed to withstand 300 mph ground speed winds, which is equivalent to an EF-5 tornado. They are made with the strongest and highest quality materials available. Install them in your garage, outside on their own, or in any room of your house, all we need is a concrete slab.
Each shelter is built using a ¼” steel plate for the walls, the floor, and the door, with reinforced ¾” steel corners and a ½” plate where Hilti anchor bolts go through the shelter and into the concrete. The steel floor we install provides structural support and will eliminate the risk of electrocution. We even include a minimum of three large vents that are strategically located to create natural airflow and include debris protectors so everyone stays safe.
Proprietary CORELOCK™ Anchoring System
If you grew up in a location that sees frequent severe weather, then having a custom storm shelter is really a no brainer. Though many people think that an underground shelter is better during a storm because it feels more out of the wind, there are a lot of risks that come with them. Flooding can occur with underground shelters, and you leave yourself open to snakes, mold, insects, and even entrapment if debris covers the entrance to your shelter.
In 2006, we developed our CORELOCK™ Anchoring System, which effectively eliminates the risks and concerns of traditional aboveground shelters. With this technology, we’re reinventing the industry standard for safety. An anchored shelter can withstand winds in excess of 300 miles per hour and has been tested by the Texas Tech Wind Science and Engineering Research Center. The vault door is over 300 pounds and has a drill-proof/pick-proof deadbolt and a bulletproof peephole.
With this safety system, you really don’t have to worry about anything.
